We had a really great turn out with about 20 folks showing up to talk HLG's on Saturday (Oct 10) at Carnation Farm! It was a bit chilly and breezy... and the lift was spotty, but it was dry and that's all you need for a good clinic!!! We covered the hot topics of preparing, launching, flying, thermaling, landing and then competing with your modern DLG.
Here's RED demonstrates what your HLG looks like when it encounters a thermal.
What a great audience... and everyone's awake! RED showing the importance of having a back-up TX ($35 on eBay) and the flexibility of the Futaba 2.4GHz Module System... and thoughtfully fielding a question. James doing the flying demo as RED fills the air with noise... Nice throw... Always relaxed... and no, the horse barn isn't nearly as close as it looks in this picture... Its all in the torso twist (RED even took off his sweatshirt to demonstrate... SASS spares no expense on these Clinics!) Thanks Rick Commo for the great pictures!
